And the winner is.... finally.

Edmund won! Ya! I was supposed to make Turkish delight, but I didn't want to. So I made cake balls. Sorry I haven't posted for in awhile, life has been crazy. I have a cold and I have a visitor staying with me. You can read about that here: www.spocklogic.blogspot.com
So thanks for being patient and here's your recipe:
Make one cake following the directions. When the cake is done, crumble it up and mix in a can of melted frosting. (Heat the frosting in the microwave and you probably won't need the whole can.) Mix together to form a dough and then roll into a ball. Cover the ball with wax paper and freeze until firm. Then roll into little balls. Melt some chocolate wafers in the microwave, stirring every few seconds. When it is melted, drop cake ball into chocolate and cover. Then scoop out onto wax paper. Sprinkle the desired candies on top. (Note, chocolate hardens fast so put on the sprinkles as soon as possible.) The chocolate will harden by itself, so all you have to do is plate and serve.
Enjoy!
*Note, these are really rich

The Chronicles of Narnia

Edmund has the most interesting story

Peter is not the way he acts in the movie. He is much better in the books
Caspian has a cool story too, but is kinda weird.

Ok. I love the Chronicles of Narnia. I have read the books a million times. I have been thinking about doing a Narnia competition, but I didn't know what to bake for the winner. I still don't know, so we'll just have to see what I come up with. :)

Shakes

Have you ever tried to make homemade shakes? I have never done it, never used a blender and didn't have a recipe. We'll just leave it at that.

Dog cookies

And the winner is.... dogs! Thank you to all that voted! I won't give you the recipe for the cookies because they don't taste good..... But they look pretty. I will have to make another dog recipe that tastes good. Can anyone tell me what that thing is in the second picture?

Stupid Ding Dongs

I was bored, so I tried to make ding dongs.

Simple little cupcakes filled with frosting and covered with chocolate right?

I was wrong! They are evil little things that crumble, get frosting all over the top and make a huge mess.
I am so mad at them that I didn't bother to take a picture of them!
So what do we learn from this incident?!
Don't make ding dongs.

Most deplorable...

Superman - Clark Kent

Well, it is kind of ironic, but Superman and Clark Kent tied. (Charlie and company voted for each person, but oh well, I counted it.) Thanks to everyone who voted! Now for the good stuff..... the dessert!

I know, I know, cheesecake doesn't really have anything to do with superman or Clark Kent, but if we all stretch our imaginations, you should get it. So here is a comparison list of Clark Kent, superman and cheesecake.

Superman is like Cheesecake because it is....

Sophisticated. (Superman would have to be sophisticated because he is always meeting presidents and vouching for world peace and all that.)

Yummy. (No, I am not supporting cannibalism.) Some people would just say superman is like "Eye candy" or whatever that little saying is.

Clark Kent is like Cheesecake because it is...

Nerdy. I mean come on! When you think about it, having cheesecake at a birthday party is nerdy! It's like puff pastries instead of ice cream.

Uhhhh....
I will have to get back to you, I can't think of anything else....

For the recipe, go to www.thepioneerwoman.com/tastykitchen and look for oreo cheesecake cupcakes. You will need more oreos than what the recipe calls for and you have to whip the cream cheese for a long time.

Merry Christmas!
