I am the kind of person who makes brownies that come in those nice little boxes. Well not anymore! I decided to try making brownies from scratch. I looked up a recipe and found one I liked, but did a little tweaking.
Ingredients: 1 cup softened butter, 2 cups brown sugar, 2 eggs, 2 teaspoons vanilla, 1/2 cup AP flour, 1 pinch salt 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. (The original version called for 1 cup AP flour and 1 cup cocoa powder, you can try it that way if you want too. My brownies came out greasy but I think its because I greased the pan to much.)
Mix together butter and brown sugar until creamed. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla. Min in flour, salt and cocoa powder. Spread batter into a greased pan. Bake for 20 min. at 350 degrees.
Variations: Add Mint extract to make mint chocolate brownies, mix in or add on top caramel syrup for rich caramel brownies.
Enjoy!
As always, I found this recipe at www.allrecipes.com check it out sometime!
