In order of importance

There are several holidays in the Month of May, some you might not be aware of.

May fourth. Happy star wars day! May the fourth be with you!
....
*Cough*

May fifth  Cinco de Mayo

May eighth  The one year anniversary since the Star trek movie came out!  *Cough, cough* Don't ask how I know that.

May ninth Mother's day!

To celebrate all these wonderful holidays, I suggest you eat croissants with chocolate frosting.
It's good.
Trust me.

Mr. Darcy

I like Pride and Prejudice. Not so much the book as the movie.  I especially like Mr. Darcy. He is just so all around awesome and *Cough* might be cooler than Spock, well, in some regards at least.  He can't navigate a starship across the universe and use totally awesome logic! ........ Anyway,   Mr. Darcy is so cool! He loved Elizabeth the whole entire time!  I especially love him in the new Pride and Prejudice. They portray his character so well!  The whole carriage scene and the rain and oh! It's just so cute! (I am a helpless romantic if you are wondering. I am also bordering insanity, but that's not relevant.)
If you are a Pride and Prejudice fan, and have a strange sense of humor, you will laugh hysterically at this picture. Well, at least I did.....
I thought this picture was so funny I couldn't stop laughing.  But then again, I've grown up my whole life having Pride and Prejudice marathons every summer at my Grandparents.
So who do you like better as a Mr. Darcy?
Collin Firth or Matthew MacFayden?

Happy Birthday!

Warning: You all may go into shock, call for emergency help, or just laugh because of all this nerdiness.
Today is Leonard Nimoy's birthday! Happy birthday!  I thought of baking something, but I didn't want to make a cake, (Too cliche'), cookies? Nah, brownies? Uh no. I've seen the consequences. Not recommended. Unless you're the type of person who sits there and laughs histerically when your Vulcan friend sings the periodic table of elements. Not that I would do that..... but still, not recommended.
So, once again, Happy birthday Nimoy! Live long and prosper!

Neal Caffrey.... for the last time. Maybe.

Ok, ok. Maybe I have gone a bit over board with this whole white collar/Neal Caffrey thing. But can you blame me?  I realized that I forgot to mention who Neal Caffrey is. Neal Caffrey is this brilliant, (good looking) super cool  ex convict. (Terrible, I know. But he has changed his ways)  He works for the F.B.I and helps them solve various white collar crimes. (Hence the name, White collar)  I have included links of the white collar commercials, they will give you a better idea of the show then I could. The girl he is looking for in the first commercial is Kate. Kate has gone missing, but he can't go look for her because he has a two mile radius tracking anklet.  It's a pretty cool show and I can't wait for the next season!
Ok. There. I'm done. No more White collar rants. No more Neal Caffrey blog posts........
 For now.

Oh and under no circumstances are you to read the comments beneath the videos. They give away the ending.  So don't do it.

Neal Caffrey... again

I know this post has nothing to do with food, or anything relevant for that matter, but it's  Neal Caffrey! Neal Caffrey is amazing!!  He is probably the coolest ex-con man I have ever met! (Well, seen, not met)   I watched the whole series in less then a week, it called for lots of sugar, giggling and great friends.  For your sugar intake while watching white collar, I recommend my friend's 'Neal Caffrey amazingness bars' you can find the recipe on her blog, just follow the link on my blog.... There almost as good as Neal Caffrey.

Neal Caffrey Cookies

Have you seen White collar, the one with the oh so charming Neal Caffrey? Oh yeah he is awesome.
In honor of the event of my first white collar marathon, I made these cookies. They're fast and really easy, so you can make them in no time.  You can even change the flavor, depending on your mood.

You will need:
One Devil's food cake mix
2 eggs
1/2 cup oil
 Cream cheese frosting
Optional Mint Extract
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees, mix together cake mix, eggs and oil, if you want to make them mint cookies, add a little bit of mint extract. It makes them taste like thin mint cookies.  After mixing dough, roll into balls and drop onto a greased cookie sheet. Flatten the cookies either with your hand or the bottom of a glass.  Bake for eight or nine minutes depending on the size.  When cookie are cool, melt in the microwave a little bit of the frosting until liquid. Drizzle frosting over cookies. (If making mint cookies, use chocolate frosting instead of cream cheese.)

I really like these.
If you want to like these too, then here is the recipe:

1 Cup brown sugar
3 Large eggs
1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 Cup AP flour, divided
2 1/2 Teaspoon Baking powder

1 Tablespoon Butter (or margarine) melted
1 Cup M&M's, divided
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease a 13x9 pan; set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together 3/4 cup butter, and sugars until smooth; beat in eggs and vanilla.
In another bowl mix together 2 1/4 cups flour, baking powder, and salt, blend into creamed mixture.
Divide batter in half. Blend together cocoa powder and melted butter; stir into one half of the dough. Spread cocoa dough evenly into prepared baking pan.
Stir remaining 1/4 Cup and 1/2 Cup M&M's into remaining dough; spread dough over the cocoa dough in pan. Sprinkle with the rest of the M&M's
Bake 25-30 minutes. Let cool.

Peanut Butter Cookie

Do you like peanut butter cookies? Do you like them chewy or crispy? I have made two batches of these (Spock loves cookies and eats them all) and they turn out every time. Depending on how you like them, you just adjust the cooking time. If you like them soft, go for eight minutes. If you like crunchy, crispy cookies, then go for ten minutes. And I don't measure the peanut butter (too much of a mess) so I just scoop it in with a big spoon, you will have to be the judge on how much peanut butter you like to add.
For the recipe, go to ww.allrecipes.com and look under Peanut butter cookies IV.
*We will be having a new competition soon so keep checking back!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I think the reason why I love Valentine's day is because of all the candy. Aisles and aisles of candy. Chocolate covered strawberries, Carmel filled hearts and the M&M's. I love M&M's. I also love sprinkles but that's besides the point. Hey, did you know that is impossible to find valentine sprinkles? I looked everywhere and finally had to ask a grocery store bakery if I could buy some of theirs. Thankfully, they were nice. In two days I made about 50 cupcakes. If I didn't have a friend to help me, I probably would have gone insane. I also gave away lots of cupcakes and ate lots of cupcakes. But I still have about a dozen or so left. Does anybody want some? I can't eat anymore.
Please. Please help me. I can't take anymore cupcakes.....

And the winner is.... finally.

Edmund won! Ya! I was supposed to make Turkish delight, but I didn't want to. So I made cake balls. Sorry I haven't posted for in awhile, life has been crazy. I have a cold and I have a visitor staying with me. You can read about that here: www.spocklogic.blogspot.com
So thanks for being patient and here's your recipe:
Make one cake following the directions. When the cake is done, crumble it up and mix in a can of melted frosting. (Heat the frosting in the microwave and you probably won't need the whole can.) Mix together to form a dough and then roll into a ball. Cover the ball with wax paper and freeze until firm. Then roll into little balls. Melt some chocolate wafers in the microwave, stirring every few seconds. When it is melted, drop cake ball into chocolate and cover. Then scoop out onto wax paper. Sprinkle the desired candies on top. (Note, chocolate hardens fast so put on the sprinkles as soon as possible.) The chocolate will harden by itself, so all you have to do is plate and serve.
Enjoy!
*Note, these are really rich

The Chronicles of Narnia

Edmund has the most interesting story

Peter is not the way he acts in the movie. He is much better in the books
Caspian has a cool story too, but is kinda weird.

Ok. I love the Chronicles of Narnia. I have read the books a million times. I have been thinking about doing a Narnia competition, but I didn't know what to bake for the winner. I still don't know, so we'll just have to see what I come up with. :)

Shakes

Have you ever tried to make homemade shakes? I have never done it, never used a blender and didn't have a recipe. We'll just leave it at that.

Stupid Ding Dongs

I was bored, so I tried to make ding dongs.

Simple little cupcakes filled with frosting and covered with chocolate right?

I was wrong! They are evil little things that crumble, get frosting all over the top and make a huge mess.
I am so mad at them that I didn't bother to take a picture of them!
So what do we learn from this incident?!
Don't make ding dongs.

Most deplorable...
